Privacy Policy

The short version

I collect your email address when you subscribe to the newsletter or contact me. I use it to send blog posts or to reply to your enquiry, and nothing else. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask me to delete your details at any time.

Who is responsible for your data

What I collect

• Newsletter details: your email address, the page you subscribed from (for example a blog post or the homepage), and the date you confirmed your subscription.
• Messages you send me: if you use the contact form or a coaching enquiry form, the name, email address or WhatsApp/phone number and message you provide, so that I can reply to you.
• Technical data: the hosting and email providers process standard server logs (such as IP address, browser and request time) to deliver the site and email securely.
• Analytics data: aggregated information about how pages are used, as described under “Analytics and cookies” below.

I do not sell or rent your data, and I do not use it for automated decisions or profiling.

Why I use it

I use your email address to send occasional blog posts and updates about coaching and brain training. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form and then clicking the confirmation link in the email I send you (double opt-in). You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing or by contacting me.

If you send me an enquiry through a contact or coaching form, I use the details you provide to reply to you and to take any steps you ask for before we agree to work together.

How it is stored and shared

Newsletter subscriber details are stored with Mailjet, which delivers the emails and provides the unsubscribe mechanism. Contact and enquiry messages are also delivered through Mailjet and are then kept in my email mailbox. The website and its server logs are hosted on Amazon Web Services. These providers process data on my behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

How long it is kept

I keep your newsletter email address until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. Confirmation records are kept for as long as needed to show that consent was given. Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond and to keep a reasonable record of our correspondence, and are then deleted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal data I hold about you;
• ask me to correct or delete it;
• restrict or object to its processing;
• receive it in a portable format;
• withdraw your consent at any time;
• complain to your local data protection authority.

Analytics and cookies

The site uses various analytics tools to understand how pages are used and to measure the results of advertising. These tools may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. You can limit them through your browser settings, your operating system’s ad settings, or the privacy controls offered by each provider. Blocking them does not affect your ability to read the site or subscribe.

Changes

If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting newsletter subscribers will also be communicated by email.
